Worried about anesthesia after wisdom teeth. what can i expect?

After or during?: Wisdom teeth are generally extracted under local anesthetic unless there is some other condition that prevents the procedure from proceeding under local anesthesia alone.

Talk to Dentist: Talk to your dentist or oral surgeon who will be removing your teeth. They may use light sedation along with local anesthetic. Typical side effect of sedation is no memory of the procedure. If sedation is used they will give you explicit instructions, so be sure to talk and ask questions.

Proper anesthesia: is the key. IV Sedation is a safe and convenient procedure which will allow you to access dental care and surgical dental procedures without being aware or remember of the wisdom teeth removal. With the benefits of a little sedation and some local anesthetic, you will find the experience a lot less dramatic than your friends would have you believe. Good luck.
