A member asked:

Is freund's adjuvant found in any vaccines used on humans?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Freund's adjuvant: Freund's complete adjuvant stimulates cell-mediated immunity leading to potentiation of the production of certain immunoglobulins this effect depends on the animal used. Use in humans is forbidden by regulatory authorities due to toxicity. Even for animal research there are currently guidelines associated with its use, due to its painful reaction and potential for tissue damage.
