How long does post-exposure rabies vaccine last in humans?

Well...: If you get the complete post-exposure series then the NEXT time you are exposed you are given only 2 shots and no immunoglobulin. If it has been more than 20 years since first series then the whole series will be given again.

2 yrs: In general, completion of the anti-rabies series will protect for exposures during the 2 years following completion of the series. Those in high risk professions are advised to get boosters or have an antibody titer checked to see if a booster is needed for protection to remain high.
