No: Ritalin (methylphenidate) is a stimulant and it should energize you; it is possible you are on the short acting Ritalin (methylphenidate) which only lasts about 2-3 hours and when it wears off you could be tired. It is also possible you have that effect with the long acting one when it wears off. Maybe you should talk to your doctor and find out if anything else might be making you tired. No: ADHD of the hyperactive type is due to a brain being underaroused, or less alert than it should be. Stimulants such as methylphenidate - Ritalin or amphetamines - Adderall, (dextroamphetamine and racemic amphetamine) should make a person more alert and calmer. They may cause tiredness in some people, but it is uncommon.
