Reader dependent: All radiographic classifications of fractures are assessor/reader dependent. The danis weber classification system is also assessor/ reader dependent and there can be conflicting information sometimes depending on who reads it. However, the "weber a, b, c" classification has not been shown to dictate outcomes. The classification is only used to help describe fracture, not w/ progress or healing.

Yes: Most important is whether or not the fracture is stable and whether or not there is shifting of the ankle bone (talus) laterally due to disruption of the syndesmosis. More common in weber b fractures than type a.
