A member asked:

Some vaccines contain saccharomyces cerivisiae. could they cause u 2 form anti-saccharomyces cerivisiae antibodies, thus inducing crohn's disease?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Probably not.: First of all, most vaccines don't go anywhere near the yeast, only recombinant vaccines use it. Secondly, the vaccines are purified , and the amounts of actual saccharomyces in the vaccine are very small, compared to the relatively huge amounts of the yeast in the bowel. So the likelihood of this being a problem is tiny.
