Depends, 48-72 Hours: Entirely on your situation. Alveoloplasty? Pain level & need for narcotic pain medicines preclude you from work. If you had immediate denture delivered on the same day as your extractions, you will need to budget some work time to come in to the dentist to have these adjusted. Practice speaking as much as possible because there may be some slurring of consonants due to acclimation period.

Full arch extraction: Two to three days. This really depends on the amount of trauma inflicted during the extractions. The less traumatic the extractions the faster the recovery. Usually when all the teeth of an arch are extracted, the dentists inserts an immediate full denture. Dentures that are placed in the maxillary (top) arch have a lot of retention and tend to stay in place. Swelling should be minimal.
