Eyes change with age: All eyes can change with normal aging processes. The eyes of babies do not mature for two years, and remain susceptible to amblyopia until age 8-9 years, nearsightedness progresses from the early teens to the mid-twenties, and the need for reading glasses will start around age 40-45 years. Generally cataracts start changing the eyes around age 70-80. Eye disease changes all these estimates.
