Consider a rheum: If the tendinitis is affecting the achilles' tendon, consider being evaluated by a rheumatologist. Recurrent inflammation of the achilles' tendon can be a feature of a set of diseases known as spondyloarthritis. The diagnosis can often be ruled in or out with x-rays and a few blood tests. If this is the cause of the tendinitis, it often responds to regular doses of NSAID medicines.

Why not: If you're unhappy with your care, then you have every right to seek out another opinion. Hope this helps!

If: You were treated and pain went away why switch doctors unless you are unhappy with the provider. Bet they can get rid of it again but it's up to you. Good luck!

Yes: You should see a rheumatologist or orthopedist. Ankle swelling can have several causes, so i would be a little leery of a diagnosis of tendinitis in the absence of trauma.
