Maybe: The peroneal tendon is at risk of a tear with a sprain, especially if you had prior tendonitis. You should be pretty diligent getting motion and balance back quickly. If persistent, get an ultrasound or MRI to evaluate the tendon.

The question is : Did the tendon fully heal and why do you keep injuring it? You may have a biomechanical problem that can be easily fixed. A visit to a foot doc sounds like a good idea.
