Hard bump: If it is on the outside or lateral aspect of her foot proximal from the little toe (toward the ankle) it sounds like it is the styloid process of the 5th metatarsal. The enlargement there is the normal shape for that particular bone. If she is having pain or redness or swelling then seek the care of a podiatrist. Good luck !
