Epididymitis : This sounds like epididymitis. Engorgement and swelling of the epididymis is common. It leaves some enlargement as you describe and can be quite tender. Please check with your doctor for an examination to rule out anything more serious.

See your doctor: Your doctor can perform an exam and tell you what is normal and not normal. You should learn how to do self testicular exams every month. What you are feeling is likely your epididymis (on both sides) which is where sperm is stored on its way from the testicle to the vas deferens and finally out the urethra. The only person who can confirm this is your doctor.
