? over active?: Not sure what you mean by over active. The gb contracts when you eat and pushes a load of bile into the intestines to help digest fats. If you have gallstones these may get stuck causing pain. Diets that are high in fat are thought to casue more symptoms beacuse the gb is stimulated more vigorously. If eating a low fat diet does not control ur pain then surgery is usually recommended. Get well.
