I had fever/vomiting for 2 days. i'm terrified to see my sgpt (alt) result which went up to 374 u/l from 262 u/l in 24 hrs. i'm not eating junk. ultrasound report is normal. what should i do now? :(

ALT 262 new reading?: Do youhave any diarrhoea, abdominal pain, yellow urine , yellow eyes/skin with this. Need to know the results of the other liver ts. You have written only one liver enzyme level. Have you seen your pcp. Pl see asap to differentiate nonsignificant elevation to significant need to get tested for viral hepatitis - for acute hepatitis panel, monospot test for infectious mononucleosis, leptospira bld test.

Vomiting : Who is checking your blood so often and why? The increase in alt is not significant to represent any severe disease. Need to look at other liver function tests as well before drawing any conclusions.
