Dude!?: I'd have to side with your wife on this one. Colitis, while more or less harmless, may progress to a more serious problem if left unchecked. It should also be properly diagnosed as other more serious causes of abdominal pain may mimic colitis. Wives know best and it appears she's concerned about you.
