You need a CXR: Whenever i hear wheezing in one lung i get a chest x ray to rule out pneumonia. Usually it's positive. *.

No: You could have more mucus on one side producing more sounds. Pneumonia could affect one side only. Occasionally, you could have aspirated something into one lung causing more problems there. Fungal problems can occur in asthma and could be localized to one side.
