My wife is 3 month & 2 day preg. gyn did ultrasound & said probably baby boy but could also be the embirical cord so not sure. can he mix up ?

It seems : He is unsure because the umbilical cord is near the baby's groin and makes the determination of gender difficult. A followup ultrasound may help.
