Consider Benlysta (belimumab): Speak to your rheumatologist. A newer drug, benlysta, (belimumab) may be effective in this situation.

Reassess treatment: Every patient with lupus is unique. Drugs that work for one patient may not work for another. Also, certain drugs may not be effective for particular manifestations of sle. You could visit your rheumatologist and discuss with them if you would benefit from other treatments for sle, such as mycophenolate, methotrexate, belimumab, or cyclophosphamide.
