A member asked:

What type of doctor can order an esophageal ph test?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Several pH tests: Ph testing is a measure in "real time" of reflux. Bravo pH testing implants a probe on your esophagus and records how much time your esophagus is exposed to acid. An impedance pH probe on the other hand is a thin tube passed into your esophagus by nose, and it measures whatever moves upward into, or stay in, your esophagus (acid or base). Your gastroenterologist (gi doctor) performs either test.
