Irregular heart rhyt: Fluttering sensation could be an irregular heart beat originating from the upper heart chambers called atrial premature contractions--pretty common. In patients with hypertension, high blood pressure, fluttering may be a symptom of a rhythm disturbance called atrial fibrillation. If it persists see your doctor.
