12 hours: Most babies during the second trimester will move many times during the day. I tell patients who are worried about movement to sit still for 30 minutes. Movements should occur that are felt at least every 8 hours. It is concerning if no movement occurs for twelve hours. Labor & delivery is always open to check for reduced movement by an unborn child.
