How long will micro fracture surgery be painful for?

Depends: Really depends on size and severity of defect. Typically will take you 6-9 months to recover. Follow any a number of nba athletes who have underwent the surgery and still struggle with million dollar contracts on the line and trainers working with them daily. Takes about 3 months for the fibrocartilage to mature and begin to remodel. Scar cartilage is never quite as good as the real thing.
