I wanted to know which medicine is best to treat swelling of tonsils...i usually get fever when i eat something like an ice cream.

Swelling/ infection?: For bacterial tonsillitis my favorite antibiotics are penicillin and clindamycin. The tonsils can swell for viral reasons as well. Getting a fever from eating ice cream does not make any clinical sense so i'm not sure what that is all about.
