A member asked:

I had surgery to remove a fibroid and ectopic pregnancy a week ago. how is the wound meant to feel to the touch? there is an incision across my tummy.

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Firm and numb: The skin around the incision is most likely a bit numb, or even tingly. Plus, the area should be firm, due to the inflammation and contracture that occurs with wound healing. The wound should soften after a few months. The numbness will last for several weeks to months as well. Good luck.
