Unlikely: Ectopic pregnancy is generally because of damage to the fallopian tubes themselves. Fibroids may affect the shape and size of the uterus and the uterine cavity, but not the tubes themselves.

Fibroids & ectopics: Fibroids usually do not cause issues like ectopic pregnancies unless the are large and are pressing on the fallopian tube where it enters the uterus. This would be unusual. More likely ectopics are related to pelvic infections and scarring of the fallopian tubes. Both fibroids and ectopics can cause abdominal pain, so please see you robgyn or pcp soon if you have either to make sure your ok.

Predisposition?: Indirectly fibroids are associated with infertility and thus with ectopic pregnancy. No direct association is postulated in the mainstream literature. Good question, though.
