Conjunctivitis: Your child has conjunctivitis. If it occurs only at night there may be something in his bedroom that he is allergic to. One of the chief culprits could be stuffed animals. See your doctor for eyedrops after you have baby proof the bedroom.

Sounds like: Blepharospasm (spasm of the eyelids). This is a rare phenomenon that is caused by unusual activity of a nervous mechanism in the brain, basically of unknown cause. It may only be temporary but if it persists you should seek help.
