A member asked:

On one side of my family runs multiple sclerosis and im sure whether or not i will end up having it is well. is there any test for early detection?

Maybe: First, more than 80% of all ms cases are non-familial. Second, at most you might have a 5% risk. Third, even if your MRI showed lesions consistent with radiologically isolated syndrome, it would not be appropriate to treat until you demonstrate clinically definite ms, or your spinal fluid is showing active abnormalities. Your risk is low, but seek neurological consult if you are worried.
