Eczema : Eczema can be chronic. Do not bathe daily. When you do bathe use luke warm, not hot water. Use only mild soap. Pat dry the affected area, do not rub dry. Immediately apply a good moisturizer such as aveeno, (oatmeal) vaseline creamy, or aquafor. Steroids are sometimes indicated but should never be used chronically as they can cause thinning of the skin, discoloration, and other complications.
