While it's not "dangerous " for him to do that in his soft spot area, it is a sign that he's scratching himself bloody anywhere that his skin condition is not under good control. If you haven't tried a tar based shampoo on his scalp yet, start there, using it twice a week.Let it sit on for 5-10 minutes while he enjoys the remainder of the bath. then rinse thoroughly. If no luck, see dermatologist.
