Vestibulitis: Can be associated with a dry nose, picking inside, scratching inside, or using q-tips inside the nose. You can get a low grade bacterial colonization of the hairs inside the nasal skin(vestibule). This can cause internal irritation and the outside can get red and swollen. See an ENT for treatment, usually with ointments and antibiotics. However, other problems need to be ruled out.
