It depends: Previous preterm labor is a risk factor for future preterm labor. If an identifiable cause for the first preterm labor can be found, that may help. In addition, 17 hydroxy Progesterone injections have been shown to reduce the incidence of preterm labor in pregnancies for women who've had previous preterm labor. Ask your doctor.
