Common issue: The amount of fever generated by a child with a normal immune system is determined by the brain sensors detecting fever triggering particles in the blood.Fever reduction may not occur if the stimulus is intense enough, & does not warrant exceeding the recommended dose or crude measures (ice packs, cold baths, etc.). Concentration on fluid needs & other comfort measures gives more benefit.
