Hyperparathyroidism: Your mental problems could be due to the effects of a high calcium (c) level. It is possible that your these problems will be resolved after you have a parathyroidectomy, as your c level will be much lower than it was before. Untreated hyperparathyroidism can also cause bone pain, stomach ulcers and kidney stones, all of which contribute to poor health. Good luck.

YES IT IS POSSIBLE: Long standing Hyperparathyroidism can cause Depression and many other symptoms and at your age it should be cured by Parathyroid Surgery Consult an Endocrinologist and get it done asap if you do have Primary Hyperparathyroidism
