STONES: Diamox (acetazolamide) does increase your kidney stone risk. If that is your sole risk factor and you stopped taking it, your risk should be the same as anybody else's.

Acetazolamide: Acetazolamide does cause kidney stones - it diminishes excretion of citrate and can elevate calcium excretion; stopping Diamox (acetazolamide) will reduce stone potential; to do more for yourself, drink 3-4 liters fluid per day; drink two glasses orange juice as natural citrate source; take 4 tablespns ReaLemon Extract daily as natural citrate; minimize salt and meats; incline your diet away from meats.
