Many things: Like chronic low-grade kidney infection, metabolic imbalance, hyper-parathyroidism, medications. You should be discussing this with your urologist who is an expert in managing kidney stones. Stones can often be passed by themselves. Sometimes they need the help of a urologist or interventional radiologist to get them out.
