It depends: Everybody heals at a different rate. It may take several days before the area feels comfortable. Try to ovoid disturbing the blood clots in the sockets if they are open.

Extraction Socket: If you are referring to how long will it take for the socket to close or be sealed over with gingiva - this too depends on each individual's rate of healing. However, on average, it takes 3-6 weeks for the hole to fully close. Avoid vigorous rinsing, forceful expectorating, drinking through straws, smoking and heavily carbonated drinks for the first 5 days.
