How does death by cancer happen? are people still lucid till the end?

It varies a lot: Patient can stay lucid almost till the end. It is only d last few days that patients may become lethargic, confused, disoriented and then lose consciousness. The final step is stoppage of breathing or the heart. Some patients develop serious infections and may have high fever. It all depends on where the bulk of the tumor is located...Symptoms would often relate to that site or area of bulky tumor.
