Dentist or oral surg: Yes, you should see your dentist, who may refer you to an oral surgeon if the sores are not readily identifiable. They may be related to your pregnancy, but not necessarily. If you are pregnant, it may make the mouth sores worse, but if not, you should still have an exam by a dentist (or oral surgeon) who is experienced diagnosing oral lesions.

Good idea: And congrat's, by the way. The last thing you and your baby need is a problem during pregnancy, including a dental infection. Call your dentist for an appointment. Let the office know that you're pregnant. They should be able to safely sort this out for the two of you.
