Eat less calories: starch is not the enemy, eating more calories than you need contributes to excessive weight and eating processed high sugar foods contributes to deposition of fat. Try a balanced meal of fresh fruits and vegetables, a protein at each meal and a high fiber healthy starch such as a serving of beans, legumes.
