Acetaminophen/tyleno: It would not be wise to give otc cold medicine to a 10 month old child. I am not sure how you detected sore throat in a 10 mon old baby, but it sounds like he (she) has a viral infection. When you give tylenol, (acetaminophen) and fever goes, does he act like a normal child, then when fever recurs, does he act sick? If so, he probably has a viral uri. If he looks "toxic", or looks listless, go to see a doctor.
