Cosmetic : Yes it is possible to have cosmetic surgery while taking certain anti anxiety medications. One should always alert the surgeon as to what medications are being talked to make sure there are no potential drug interactions before , during or after a cosmetic procedure.

Yes: Anxiety medications are commonly used - so we're quite used to seeing patients who take these on a regular basis. You can safely have a cosmetic procedure while using thee - but of course, let your surgeon know the details of the medications you are using.

Yes, but.: There's no absolute contra indication to being on anxiety medication. However, it's critical you inform your surgeon of all of your current medications and the dosages so that he can determine if there's any concern about drug interactions which could lead to complications.

Yes.: Your plastic surgeon will take a medical history. Part of the history is what drugs you may be on. Together you will figure out the benefits and risks of the surgery, and if you are a candidate. He/she may have you seen by your primary doctor to make sure all is ok. Drug interactions are important, so the anesthesiologist will also be made aware.
