It depends: Typically a few hours. Do not drive after sedation and keep your activity to a minimum until the medications have been processed in your system.

Pretty Quickly: Usually you feel the deep effects subside after a 1-2 hours. I ask my patient not to drive or be solely responsible for the welfare of child for the rest of the day. It is important that someone stay with them. I also think that they should not make any important decisions for 24 hours. I think that a cautious approach is the best.
