First calculate : Your maximal heart rate by using 220-age if male and 207-(age x 0.88) if female. Then, during aerobic exercise, you will try to reach 60-70% of the mhr and stay for as much as you can. I always advise for a medical exam before starting any conditioning exercises. Have fun.
