A member asked:

Could you tell me what happens if you loose your childs immunization records?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Look for backups: In my state the law requires that i keep records (including vaccinations) on kids for 7 years from their last visit or 21 yrs, whichever is longer. Retrieval of the information is provided for a fee. Schools & day care facilities will often have a backup list available for review. Some states have a vaccine registry, but parents may have to opt-in to have their kids info recorded.
