Variable range: The adult average resting heart rate is variable, depending on underlying health, aerobic fitness, etc. The typical range would be between 60 and 90 beats per minute. People who are in good aerobic health can be in the 50's. Professional bicyclists can have resting heart rates in the 40's to upper 30's per minute.
