Support: It is difficult when a loved one has an illness. Support and encourage her to get treatment. Also educate yourself about the illness. There are support groups for family and patients who have a mental illness. Perhaps she would be more willing to go if you would accompany her. Nami is a good support and educational resource. Here is the link for your state http://www.Namiflorida.Org/.

Talk to her about: Your concerns. Let her know you are worried about her and that you think therapy could help. If she is reluctant, offer to go with her to the 1st session. Good luck and let us know if we can help in any way.
