Still a mystery: Chronic fatigue syndrome refers to severe, continued tiredness that is not relieved by rest and is not directly caused by other medical conditions. As part of the definition of cfs other conditions known to cause fatigue are not present. The cause of cfs is still a mystery but there is often evidence of immune dysfunction and many theorize it is caused by viruses. Please see my comments for more:.
