What to do if i have ibs and am in constant pain, but pain meds just make it worse?

Unclear etiology: I think dr. Stein grossly overstates the role of serotonin in ibs. Yes it is involved but there are limitations on alteration in serotonin metabolism as the sole explanation for the constellation of symptoms observed in patients with ibs.
