Not usually: The correct clinical term for sociopath/psychopath is antisocial personality disorder, which manifests itself the majority of the time during childhood, in the single digits, with cruelty toward animals, fighting, no empathy for others, no conscience, and develops from there. Onset in later life is exceedingly rare.
