Nothing remarkable: The current state of the art in psychiatry involves research on brain structure and function, but unfortunately, we are not yet to the point of being able to make a definitive diagnosis based on differences in the brain. For that reason, psychiatric disorders are considered "functional" problems, as opposed to "organic" problems-for which differences can be measured in some ways.
